Sparrow and The Stream
A Human-Made, Lof-fi Technothriller
by F.C. Shultz
Sparrow Hoodia is a fifteen year old survivalist living off-the-grid. She's an anomaly in a society that lives their lives fully immersed in a virtual reality world.
Naive to the outside world, like her closed-circuit flying robot companion, Sparrow must conquer her fears and leave the safety of her home to search for her mom who has been missing for two weeks.
What she finds will take her places beyond her wildest dreams…bending the nature of reality itself.
Sparrow and The Stream is a fast-paced, heart-felt technothriller for fans of Blake Crouch, Hugh Howey, and the Fallout franchise.

This book is aimed at an upper middle grade/YA audience.

That’s a tough question to answer.
It takes place in a pre post-apocalyptic world, and these worlds are not clean. There are instances of violence and death, but there is nothing gratuitous, nothing without consequence. If it was a movie, it would be rated a low PG-13. Closer to PG than R.

I saw a Youtube video of Tucker Gott flying his paramotor to McDonald’s and thought a paramotor would be a great post-apocalyptic form of transportation.

One of my goals with writing and publishing books has always been to make my books accessible, which is why I’ve tried to price Sparrow and The Stream is a way that makes sense.
I’m a fellow reader, and love switching between physical and digital mediums when reading a novel.
With that in mind, I’ve priced Sparrow and The Stream so you can get paperback and kindle versions for $15 total (paperback is $12; kindle is $2.99). It is also available on Kindle Unlimited.
